Can you play MP4 on Redmi 12?

Came upon incompatibility problems playing MP4 videos on Xiaomi Redmi 12? Due to codec issues, some MP4 files will not play on Xiaomi Redmi 12. To be able to play these MP4 files, you will need to convert them first.

“Hi, any ideas why my Xiaomi Redmi 12 doesn't play MP4 videos. I've copied several MP4 clips onto my SD card.
